Borough of Stockertown Code - All dogs must be leashed and controlled by owners. All fecal material must be cleaned up and removed. No free running dogs.
SHOOTING RANGE RULES
NOTE: DUE TO LIABILITY INSURANCE, ALL PEOPLE ON THE RANGES MUST BE MEMBERS
ALL STATE, FEDERAL AND LOCAL GUN LAWS MUST BE OBEYED ALWAYS!
1. Everyone must be a member and display a current membership button. No Button – No Shooting
2. Anyone on the shooting ranges must be a member no matter their age or if they are shooting. No guests. No observers.
3. NO rapid firing on any range. Slow fire only. Semi-automatics - space shots 5 seconds apart.
4. Use paper, cardboard, or clay birds as targets only. No bottles, cans, stereos, furniture, etc. DO NOT shoot at Target Supports or uprights. Damage can occur.
5. Caliber restrictions – no 50 cal. BMG or other loud guns– we get complaints about unusually loud guns.
6. Do not shoot from outside the shooting houses. Clean up the area after shooting.
7. NO alcoholic beverages on the range at any time.
8. When leaving any gun on a bench, it must have action open and empty chambers.
9. NO SHOOTING when farmers are working the fields in the area or during grass mowing of the range.
10. Rifle and handgun ranges are closed on holidays, the first day of Trout season, during Youth Field Day, for special events, or for police department qualifications.
11. Safety first always.
12. Eye protection must be worn on the Air Gun/BB Gun range.
13. Rifle and handgun ranges are also closed on Sundays and the following dates:
• Memorial Day – 5/26/2025
• First Day of Trout – 4/5/2025
• Youth Field Day – 6/6 & 6/7/25 • Labor Day – 9/1/25
• Thanksgiving Day – 11/27/2025
• Christmas Day – 12/25/2025
• Independence Day – 7/4/2025 • New Year’s Day – 1/1/2026
RANGE HOURS
Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
CLOSED Sundays, all major Holidays, June 6 & 7, and first day of trout season.
ARCHERY RANGE RULES
1. Everyone must be a member and display a current button. NO OBSERVERS – NO GUESTS
2. Anyone age 0 through 15 must be a Junior Member and must be accompanied by an adult member, Regular or Senior.
3. Open during daylight hours only.
4. Closed during Block Shoots and Youth Field Day.
5. NO broadhead arrows on the range unless you are shooting at your own targets.
6. No alcoholic beverages on the range at any time.
POND RULES
1. No one is allowed on the pond grounds between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
2. No “saving” of fishing spots for other people. You may reserve one spot for yourself after 5 AM.
3. Any children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years or older.
4. Anyone from 10 through 15 years of age must be a Junior Member except during the Youth Fishing Contest.
5. A valid PA Fishing License is required for ages 16 and up. Trout Stamp required to fish Brior’s Pond.
6. NO corn, liver, or spleen to be used as bait unless specified for a special event.
7. NO cleaning of fish at the pond unless you take the debris with you.
8. Please dispose of discarded fishing line in the trash barrels provided.
9. Clean up your area after fishing.
10. Seasons and creel limits: All PA Fish & Boat Commission laws must be obeyed. Tournament creel limits may be reduced. Fishing is allowed on Brior’s Pond only during Trout Season.
11. Both ponds are closed on the first Saturday in June for Youth Field Day.
12. Trout stamps are not needed to fish the small pond behind the clubhouse.
13. No ice fishing on either pond.
14. Do not cast near the aerator lines. Damage to the lines can occur.
